Advantages:

• Breaks apart after a few years
• Contractors usually just lay on top of existing driveway or patio
• Normally 5mm – 10 mm resin surface which disintegrates when cars are parked on it
• Not good for UK weather
• Probably the worst product on the marketplace

Advantages:

• Weather-resistant and does not tend to experience water ingress problems, or frost damage

Disadvantages:

• Over time, tarmac driveways may develop cracks and potholes, which can be unsightly and potentially damaging to vehicles.
• Once weeds get established they can destroy the tarmac
• Maintenance is non stop as you have to remove weeds, once doing this it can damage the surface.
